Muganga, The One Who Treats – a movie inspired by Nobel Peace Prize laureate Dr Denis Mukwege and Panzi Hospital in eastern Congo – brings urgent attention to sexual violence used as a weapon of war and to the courage of survivors worldwide.

The film will be shown in the Netherlands for the first time at the Movies that Matter Festival 2026 on 22, 25 and 26 March at Filmhuis Den Haag. The last two screenings will be followed by an expert talk with Katrien Coppens, Executive Director of the Mukwege Foundation. The film is subtitled in English.
