Resilience, Resistance, and Solidarity: Voices of Myanmar’s Women and Minorities
On 1 October 2025, during the UNGA High-Level Week, an important side event will take place in New York: Resilience, Resistance, and Solidarity: Voices of Myanmar’s Women and Minorities. This event brings the voices of women, girls, and gender-diverse people from Myanmar to the international stage.
The programme will highlight how women and communities, despite the military coup and ongoing repression, continue to organize, provide humanitarian aid, and advocate for justice and human rights. Through storytelling, art, panel discussions, and cultural expressions, the event draws attention to their resilience and the urgent need for international solidarity and accountability.
