Sudan under fire: how can we stop the violence in Sudan?

Invitation by The Netherlands Refugee Foundation: Sudan Under Fire

(co-organised by NAP 1325 signatory PAX)

After two years of devastating conflict, millions displaced, siege, famine, violence against women, and the relentless destruction of lives, the mass killings in Sudan are finally receiving international attention. But what are the political implications? Humanitarian access remains blocked, pressure on arms suppliers is still absent, and misinformation is dividing Sudanese communities. What can the Netherlands do? And how do we support Sudanese efforts to return to democracy, unity, and sustainable peace?

The Sudan Media Forum, in collaboration with Free Press Unlimited and PAX for Peace, invites you to an urgent situation update on media, politics, and human rights in Sudan. We will discuss what must happen to stop the violence, which Sudanese-led initiatives are helping civilians under threat, and what actions the Netherlands can and should take. The programme includes a short film on civilian resistance, speakers, and surprise performances by Sudanese artists.

The Sudan Media Forum warmly invites you to this urgent briefing.
