Nouveaux Droits de l'Homme: Study Report and Policy Brief on Ending Violence against Women and Girls in Cameroon and the Central African Republic
Nouveaux Droits de l'Homme, a partner of NAP 1325 signatory Peace Brigades International, undertook a thorough analysis on violence against women and girls in Cameroon and the Central African Republic, based on the input from 462 survivors. Findings included, for example, that over 50% of women in a relationship have suffered domestic or marital violence and that early and forced marriage is still persisting in large parts of Cameroon.
Based on the analysis, a Policy Brief was published, including a list of observations and recommendations towards a range of state actors and civil society/ women's rights organisations. Both the report and the policy brief are available in English and French.
