WPHF Call for Proposals in Ethiopia

The United Nations Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF) launched a Call for Proposals in Ethiopia to support civil society organizations to implement projects focusing on humanitarian response and protection, as well as supporting local women and young women’s rights organizations through institutional funding.

WPHF seeks to fund qualifying local organizations in Ethiopia through the following funding streams:

  • Programmatic funding from $30,000 USD to $200,000 USD

To finance programmatic activities of CSOs aimed at enhancing access of women and girls to local, inclusive, gender-responsive and life-saving humanitarian response and services in conflict and crisis settings; and enhancing protection of women and girls, and the upholding of their rights in crisis and conflict settings.

  • Institutional funding from $2,500 USD to $30,000 USD

To reinforce the institutional capacity of women’s rights and women-led organizations working on the implementation of the Women, Peace and Security Agenda in Ethiopia to ensure they are able to sustain themselves and to improve their impact.

Please note: An organization can only apply one time for programmatic funding, and for one area only per proposal, and/or one time for institutional funding. Organizations that apply for both streams need to submit two separate application packages based on the requirements and related templates of each stream.
