Description of your main WPS related activities
Tearfund is committed to helping people rise out of poverty and injustice. We provide emergency aid where needed, and build worldwide on sustainable development that allows communities to flourish again. Tearfund always works with local partner organisations. They know the context and can build a dignified existence with the local population like no other. We see potential for religious actors to contribute to the development of a community. That is why we involve churches and others where possible and relevant. The desired development depends on the local situation. But in every programme, we build on four driving forces, through which broad sustainable change can be achieved-economically, physically, emotionally and relationally.
