Description of your organization/institution

Cultuur in Harmonie is a diaspora organization that deals with integration issues in the broadest sense of the word. Our aim is to brigde the gap between different cultures and thus contribute to a harmonious society. Our team consists of several specialists with a migration background, mainly from Eritrea, Ethiopia (East Africa) and the Middle East. Based on our previously lived experience and knowledge on the migration and integration process, we have become motivated to contribute to a better understanding by offering intercultural support and advice to municipalities and other institutions that deals with refugees and migrants. Last but not least to the migrants themselves! Because we believe that a successful integration needs a two way approach we offer the migrants/newcomers the necessary support and guidance to achieve their integration and self-reliance in their new home. Our approach to this is cultural, gender and religion sensitive. In doing so, we would also like to tell the untold positive stories of the resilient newcomers.
