Description of your organisation/institution

ASKV contributes expertise in legal support, social assistance, humanitarian care and advocacy for undocumented people, with a strong focus on those in vulnerable and insecure situations, including women affected by conflict and displacement. The organisation has extensive experience in providing access to justice, navigating asylum and migration procedures, and safeguarding rights, which directly supports the protection and participation pillars of the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda. Through its close work with people in their own communities, combined with medical and psychosocial support and grassroots advocacy, ASKV has strong, hands-on knowledge of how gender, displacement, insecure legal status and social exclusion affect people’s daily lives. This enables ASKV to meaningfully contribute to NAP 1325 by ensuring that the lived experiences and needs of refugee and undocumented women are represented in policies, prevention strategies, and inclusive peace and security initiatives.

Description of your main WPS related activities

Policy & advocacy: ASKV will contribute evidence-based advocacy rooted in its direct work with undocumented people in vulnerable situations. By translating lived experiences into policy recommendations, ASKV will advocate for rights-based, gender-sensitive and inclusive migration, asylum and protection policies at local and national levels.

Programming: ASKV will contribute practical, community-based programming experience, including legal assistance, social and medical support, and empowerment-oriented services.

Knowledge sharing: ASKV will share practical knowledge and lessons learned from its daily work affected by displacement and insecure legal status. This includes insights into safety risks, obstacles to participation, and what works in engaging communities. By sharing this experience, ASKV contributes to joint learning and helps strengthen Women, Peace and Security approaches within the NAP 1325 partnership.
