STAD is a not-for-profit organization operating in Uganda and South Sudan with its main office in the Netherlands with its mission of Supporting the vulnerable and underprivileged groups in Northern Uganda and South Sudan in education, market-oriented skills for self-reliance, women and youth empowerment, capacity building for peace conflict resolution in the region.

Description of your main WPS related activities

Organize workshops to lobby for local authorities, organizations and other stakeholders to include protection of human rights.. Dialogues and debates on Social Gender Based Violence (SGBV) against women and girls, forced displacement with focus on the obstacles opportunities Organize mediation dialogues workshops to Lobby for local authorities to enactment a By law on cattle raiding and early/forced and arranged girl child marriages negative traditional and cultural practices etc. Celebration of International, National, Religious events as means or tools for peace building for a "Peaceful Co-existence” in communities Mobilization, sensitization and formation of women and girls engaged in livelihood activities network or forum. Organize skills trainings for women, girls youth groups engaged in micro -small and medium economic businesses ( entrepreneurs) . Organize agri-skills trainings for vulnerable households, communities and local farmers to engage in sustainable environmentally friendly farming
