Movie: SEMA (‘Speak Out’)
This movie highlights the courage of women survivors of conflict related sexual violence. It was made by the Movement of Survivors of conflict related sexual violence in DRC, a partner of the Denis Mukwege Foundation. The film, written and acted by survivors of sexual violence in Congo and directed by Macherie Ekwa Bahango, had its US premiere at the DC Independent Film Festival in 2020.
